Enhancing the cheek and adding volume to better define the cheek is easily accomplished with specially designed implants. Many different shapes, sizes and materials are available from which to choose. Additionally, one's own fat can be used in transfering and grafting fat to augment the cheek and face. Newer injectable fillers such as Juvederm, Restylane, Radiesse, and Perlane can also be used for augmenting the cheek area. Although still temporary, these injectable fillers can last 6 months to several years.
